Malaysia - Cambodia - Thailand Submarine Cable System Entered into the Implementation Stage

A few days ago, the Kampuchea Internet provider Ezecom announced that the Kampuchea submarine cable project contract which was signed with Thailand Symphony Communication and Malaysia Telecom began to come into force. This means that Kampuchea - Thailand - Malaysia submarine cable project turned from the planning stage into the implementation phase.
 
Ezecom subsidiary, Telcotech, was cooperating with Symphony and Malaysia Telecom to build a regional fiber optic network. Now the contract came into force, and the three partners would start the construction of submarine cables.
 
This area between the submarine cable system will be extended to about 1300 km, laid in the Gulf of Thailand, landed in the landing station in Sihanouk city. Submarine cable would connect Kampuchea to Malaysia and Thailand, through the inland interconnection, and further connect to Laos, Burma, etc..
 
This submarine cable system was expected to put into commercial operation by the end of 2016.
