On July 12th, Australian news said that undersea communications cable project has identified Australia's landing point whose total cost is $ 400 million connecting Zealand, Australia and the United States.

The project developer of Hawaiki submarine cable company and New Zealand investors Sinclair said Australian determined landing point was near Bream Bay.

According to reports, the submarine communication cable construction was to compete with the largest local Southern Cross submarine cable network systems, which would break monopoly position of international submarine cable in Oceania fields, especially in the field of submarine cable in New Zealand.

In addition, the Australian government also promised to provide $ 15 million funding for this historic undersea communications cable project.

It was expected the undersea communications cable would be put into operation in 2017.
