Laos Grid Efficiency Improvement Project Accepted 190 Million New Funding From the World Bank

Recently, the World Bank funded $ 30 million (about 190 million yuan) for the improvement of the efficiency of Laos's power grid.

"Lao Power Grid Improvement Project" aimed to make the country's power grid more efficient.
The World Bank said that over 20% of the power supply in some areas of Laos would be lost in the distribution process, and the power supply of other areas in the peak period was not stable.

Zachau Ulrich, the President of the World Bank in East Asia Region, said: "Laos has experienced rapid development, including support for the World Bank in the past, the power to bring electric power to the bulk of the population. The World Bank is very pleased to provide new funding to improve grid efficiency and reliability. The new funding will help to improve the power quality of service, while ensuring electricity prices at affordable price range, so as to the benefit low-income users."
